The house was built in 1886 has a nice facade, five levels and 8 rooms. Flights of stairs are typically Dutch: narrow and steep (no elevator, only one ground floor private studio/apartment available). Ruijsdaelkade and Gerard Doustraat are low traffic, quiet streets.

If Ruysdaelkade/Gerard Doustraat is fully booked you will be offered accomodation at Alexander's at an equally central location (western canal belt close to Leidse Plein square or eastern canal belt close to Maritime Museum).Location 2,3,4 half year contracts. Same quality, same rate. All locations maximum 10 minutes distance from central station by public transport (see map).
An indoor swimmming pool is next to Rijksmuseum, two minutes walking distance. For jogging Vondelpark is close. Bicycles for rent at Alexander`s. Ideal accommodation also for families. Culture oriented guests or business travellers preferred.
