Hotel Estherea is ideally situated in the heart of the city, along one of the most picturesque and tranquil canals. Dam Square, Central Station, the main shoppig areas, musea and theatres are all within walking distance. The hotel, with 70 different recently renovated rooms behind the 17th century facade, has been a family business ever since it was founded in 1942 and is now run by the third generation. The hotel also has a lift, a lounge and a bar.

• By public transportation:
  
  From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram number 1, 2 or 5 and get out at Spui.

• from Airport Schiphol:
  
  At Schiphol airport, you can either take the KLM shuttle bus, a taxi or a train. The NRC Connexxion shuttle bus leaves regularly from Schiphol and passes all the major hotels in Amsterdam. Costs: Euro 10,- per person. The Tulip Inn hotel is the hotel closest to ours and therefore you will have to get off at that stop (in Spuistraat). If you cross the little alley opposite the stop you will reach the Singel canal. Turn right and you will find hotel Estherea after 30 meters. The disadvantage is that it will take you longer to reach the hotel as the bus stops at so many hotels. You can find taxi's just outside the arrival hall and this is the fastest way to reach the hotel. Costs: between Euro 30,- and 35,-. There is a train station right under the airport. Trains go every 20 minutes and will bring you to Amsterdam Central Station. Costs: Euro 2,90 per person. From Central Station, you can either walk to the hotel (if your luggage allows it) or take at taxi (costs: Euro 7,00).

• By car:
  
  If you bring your own car to Amsterdam, and reach the A10 (the highway that surrounds Amsterdam), take exit nr. S105 and follow the signs "centrum". When you reach the Singel canal, just before the Royal palace, turn right. Cross the second bridge to reach the other side and you will find us at house nr. 303-309. You can park your car in front of the hotel in order to unload your luggage. We will then give you directions to either a guarded parking nearby or public parking spots on the street. Please note that you have to buy a parking ticket in all the public parking areas. You will find parking meters in the streets. If you do not pay the parking, police will put a wheel clamp on your car and this is an expensive and unpleasant experience. At the reception we also sell parking tickets for the whole day.
